Notes

Nine Floors, Not Counting The Mezzanine marked the acting debut in Scarborough of Heather Stoney. The actress, who would enjoy success on stage, screen and radio, became Alan Ayckbourn's long-term partner during the '70s before the pair married in 1997. Her work in Alan Ayckbourn's plays between the 1960s and 1980s made her one of the most prolific Ayckbourn actors in world premieres of his plays.
Nine Floors, Not Counting The Mezzanine was presented as part of a William Norfolk double-bill with The Birds And The Well-Wishers. It was not originally advertised as a double-bill with Nine Floors... being a late addition to the programme.
